Texas, California, and Utah
Hi there now we are taking a trip to Texas, then to California, and after that right to Utah discussing some of the rocks available in those areas.
Texas
Here in Texas I would like to discuss one of the rocks that is located in this area called Gypsum. This rock is classified as a sedimentary rock.
Remember sedimentary rocks are formed from the breakdown of rocks by physical and chemical means then compacts and cements together.

California
Now where in California which is such a great state. Here I am going to tell you about gold. Gold is very, very wanted and is held to high prices in today's economy. It's not only mined for but also used in many different items such as jewelry, products, and science.
Gold can be found in sediments and that's why people mine the water to look for gold. Remember how sediments are breakdowns of different types of material or rocks? and then are moved and swept away into different areas of the world.

Utah
Great we have traveled to Utah where the rock Beryllium is located. Beryllium enjoys wide use as an alloying metal. Beryllium-copper is used to make electrical contacts, welding electrodes, non-sparking and non-magnetic tools, and also springs (for examples springs for Swiss watches, from the alloy glycogen). In its pure form, it is used as a nozzle in some rocket engines. It is also found in nuclear applications in that pure, unalloyed state.
This type of rock is considered Igneous and now that you are familiar with how igneous rocks form lets move to the next tab and travel some more.
